Booking Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Villa Sunrise. We look forward to welcoming you for a memorable stay in Sicily.

Please read these terms before confirming your reservation.

1. Reservations and Booking Deposit

A 30% booking deposit, calculated on the accommodation rental price, is required to secure a reservation.

This payment forms part of the rental price and is not an additional charge.

The booking deposit is non-refundable if the guest cancels, except where otherwise required by applicable law.

A reservation is confirmed once the required payment has been received and written booking confirmation has been issued.

2. Remaining Balance

The remaining 70% of the accommodation rental price is payable 30 days before arrival.

For reservations made 30 days or fewer before arrival, the full accommodation rental price and cleaning fee are payable at booking.

All accommodation payments must be completed before check-in.

3. Cleaning Fee

A mandatory €230 cleaning fee per stay applies to all reservations.

This charge covers standard end-of-stay cleaning. It is displayed separately from the accommodation rental price and is payable together with the remaining rental balance.

If a reservation is cancelled before check-in and the cleaning service has not been provided, the cleaning fee will be refunded.

4. Tourist Tax

A local tourist tax of €1.50 per liable person per night, for a maximum of six consecutive nights, applies in accordance with the regulations of the Municipality of Castellammare del Golfo.

The tourist tax is collected separately by Villa Sunrise on behalf of the municipality and is not part of the accommodation rental price.

Applicable exemptions and any changes to municipal rates will be respected. Guests may be asked to provide information necessary to determine whether an exemption applies.

5. Refundable Security Deposit

A separate €2,000 refundable security deposit is required seven days before arrival.

This deposit is held as security against damage, missing items or other properly documented charges for which guests are responsible.

Following check-out, the villa will be inspected. The security deposit will be refunded within seven calendar days of departure, subject to any justified deductions.

Normal wear and tear will not be charged.

Where deductions are necessary, guests will receive an explanation and supporting information. Any remaining balance will be refunded.

The security deposit is separate from the rental price and cleaning fee.

6. Cancellation Policy

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing.

More than 30 days before arrival: The 30% booking deposit is retained. Any additional rental payments received will be refunded.

30 days or fewer before arrival: The full accommodation rental price is non-refundable.

These conditions are subject to applicable law.

Unused cleaning fees, prepaid tourist taxes and refundable security deposits will be returned where the relevant services or stay have not taken place and no justified charges are due.

We recommend that guests purchase appropriate travel insurance.

7. Check-in and Check-out

Check-in and check-out times will be confirmed before arrival.

Early check-in or late check-out is subject to prior agreement and availability.

8. Occupancy and Property Care

Villa Sunrise accommodates a maximum of 10 registered guests.

Guests are expected to respect the property, its furnishings, outdoor areas, neighbours and applicable house rules.

Damage or maintenance concerns should be reported promptly.

9. Changes or Cancellation by Villa Sunrise

If Villa Sunrise cannot honour a confirmed reservation, guests will be informed promptly and refunded for accommodation and services not provided, without prejudice to their rights under applicable law.

10. Privacy

Guest information is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation.
